The 2019 Committee is led by President Connor Morgan and his team of 6 Law students who are fully committed to ensuring the SLSS is achieving its goals and providing an exceptional service to all members and the Law school cohort as a whole.
Connor is a 3rd year Law and Business student, majoring in Marketing. Connor is passionate about providing the best experience for each law student during their time at Swinburne, whilst forming stronger connections between the legal industry and the SLSS. He hopes to one day practice in the areas of Intellectual Property and Commercial Law. It is this passion and commitment which has motivated him to lead the SLSS in 2019.
Having studied History and Politics at University of Tasmania, Law was a natural next step for Cade. He believes in life-long learning and hopes to continue studying law and conducting research after he graduates from Swinburne Law School next year.
Alexandra is a 3rd year Bachelor of Law & Arts student, majoring in Criminology. She is most passionate about helping others, and being able to give back to the community, which is why she joined the committee. She hopes to enter into the fields of criminal prosecution, trade mark law or human rights law.
Jules is a 3rd year Law & Computer Science student, majoring in Cybersecurity. He is passionate about using technologies to streamline legal processes and interested in pursuing a career in Intellectual Property and Commercial Law. Having joined the SLSS in 2018, Jules aspires to help further the outreach and range of services offered by the SLSS, to better connect students within the Law School and the legal industry at large.
Heidi is a 2nd year Bachelor of Laws/Arts student. Heidi’s passion for communicating ideas and public speaking drew her to the dynamic study of Law. Since joining the committee in 2018, she has enjoyed advancing the Society’s aims to create an enthusiastic and accessible student community within the Law School.
Amber is a 3rd year Business and Law student who is majoring in Accounting. She has a keen interest in Commercial Law and Litigation and wishes to pursue that as a profession in the future. Amber has joined the SLSS in order to become more involved in the law school as well as to connect with not only those involved in the SLSS but law students in general.
Jordan is a 3rd year Business and law student who is majoring in Finance. He has a keen interest in advocacy and understanding the legal mechanisms which structure our society. Jordan joined the SLSS to pursue his passion in creating a comfortable and friendly environment within the law school. He is always open to suggestions via email on how he can better organise events to enhance the Swinburne law experience.
